VIRTUAL BAGS : BAGGAGE MODELLING WILL IMPROVE THE BUSINESS PASSENGER EXPERIENCE

摘要: This article describes a computer simulation of airport baggage operations that can mine the wealth data available about many different operational systems to improve decision support. The modeling system, called PlanFlow, focuses on transfer flow predictions give picture passenger flows up six months ahead. It also allows analysis long- and short-term basis, tying in schedules, forecasts, flight correlations calculations identifying number if bags expected per flight. Benefits from include: increased success with short connections, higher customer satisfaction, airline satisfaction; reduced costs; improved business planning revenue.
