摘要: Objective (1) To develop a simple outcome measure of shoulder function in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the Shoulder Function Assessment (SFA) Scale; (2) to compare properties this scale with those 2 existing measures function, Constant Scale and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Scale. Methods Fifty consecutive patients RA participated an inpatient multidisciplinary treatment program. The SFA was constructed by selecting items considered assess relevant team consisting rheumatologist, orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, occupational therapist. examine intra interobserver reliability 25 Scale, Constant, HSS were assessed twice examiner CHME, other once EMV. validity all 3 scales determined calculating correlation observed patient's opinion (3) joint deformity. A receiver operating characteristic curve determine accuracy discriminate between differences "best" "worst" as reported patient. Results equivalent or better than scale. discriminative ability superior both scales. Conclusion is reliable, valid, accurate that can be completed within minutes.
