摘要: Multiresolution modelling is a good method to achieve both quality and performance in the rendering of complex scenes. Within this framework, detection preservation outstanding features, such us silhouettes, become very important. The goal paper present technique based on Distance Transforms that allows classify elements mesh according their proximity internal external contours makes use information for weighting approximation error which will be tolerated during simplification process. approach used work precomputes silhouettes given set cameras performs an estimation any other point view. results obtained are evaluated two ways: visually using objective metric measures geometrical difference between polygonal meshes.
