摘要: Obstructive atherosclerotic lesions produced in nonhuman primates with diets rich cholesterol decrease size when a diet that is low substituted. Small, early disappear completely. The evidence for lesion regression non-human has been reviewed several recent publications (1–4). In man atherosclerosis also possible but infrequent, as shown by investigators who evaluated the angiograms of persons on whom arteriography done repeatedly. Table I summarizes 13 studies (5–17) which decreases coronary artery obstructions were angiographically documented 91 578 patients recatheterized. Forty-five these improvements surely caused lysis thrombotic deposit rather than shrinkage an established plaque. does not include sequential arteriograms instances reported. Therefore, even larger proportion human indicated probably cannot readily regress. Dissimilarities between and experimental might be one cause dissimilarity frequency regression.
