A review of water transport in dense-graded asphalt mixtures

摘要: Abstract Water transport in dense-graded asphalt mixtures (DGAMs) is one significant topic for an in-depth study of water damage pavements. The X-ray computed tomography (X-ray CT) helps researchers to understand the internal structure DGAMs and restructure it numerical simulations DGAMs. This review discusses difference between DGAMs’ specimens by laboratory compactions, which include Superpave gyratory compactor (SGC), linear kneading (LKC), Marshall vibratory compactor, field cores clarifies purpose a compaction. And then describes gaseous liquid DGAMs, permeability three media, mixtures, mastic pure asphalt. Numerical are also discussed confronted problems set forth that involve dividing gray threshold CT images, restructuring 3D model this truncation criterion process. Future work on recommended end review.
