摘要: Background The Woza Asibonisane Community Responses (CR) Programme was developed to prevent HIV infections and gender-based violence (GBV) within four provinces in South Africa. Centre for Communication Impact (CCI) collaboration with six partner non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implemented the programme, which comprised of multiple types group discussion education activities organized facilitated by each NGO. To date, little information exists on cost implementing such multi-objective, multi-activity, community-based programmes. address this gap, we estimated annual CR Methods We used standard methods estimate costs NGO, involved a package targeted distinct subpopulations specific locations. primary sources came from organizations. Costs (US dollars, 2017) are reported one implementation year (the U.S. Government fiscal (10/2016-09/2017). In addition total disaggregated main input categories, common metric--cost per participant intervention hour--is summarize across partners. Results Each activity included program involve organizing bringing together people target population location then completing curriculum that activity. Activities were held community settings (meeting hall, center, sports grounds, schools, etc.). NGO varied substantially, $260,302 $740,413, as did scale based hours, 101,703 187,792 hours. hour $2.8-$4.6, labor into salaries management service delivery (providing curriculum) contributing largest share hour. Conclusions any depends on: (1) what implements; (2) resources used; (3) unit resources. Reporting alone, however, does not provide enough evaluate if 'too high' or low' without clearer understanding benefits produced program, would change (and therefore costs) changed.
