摘要: PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES To assess the validity of neuropathy and neuropathic pain-measurement approaches. DESIGN Cross-sectional measurement study. SETTING Two comprehensive cancer centers in northeastern United States. SAMPLE 117 patients with an outpatient setting. METHODS Participants were assessed using five-component Total Neuropathy Score-reduced (TNSr), TNSr short form (TNSr-SF), individual items, Neuropathic Pain Scale for chemotherapy-induced (NPS-CIN), National Cancer Institute's Common Toxicity Criteria™, version 3.0 (NCI-CTC). MAIN RESEARCH VARIABLES pain measure scores, cumulative per M2 chemotherapy dosage, comorbid risk factors, drug class, number neurotoxic drugs received. FINDINGS TNSr, TNSr-SF, tendon reflex scores greater receiving higher (z range = -2.2 to -3.6; p 0.01 < 0.001) -1.8 -2.4; 0.04 doses. Scores from most measures illnesses -1.79 -3.51; 0.03 0.001). Sensory NCI-CTC dosage -2.1; 0.02). Only sensory correlated other (r 0.22-0.63; 0.05 CONCLUSIONS Findings support item, NPS-CIN, grading scale when measuring taxane platinum-induced neuropathy. However, additional testing is warranted. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING Comprehensive mainly used by researchers neurologists simplified more clinically useful tools use nurses monitoring peripheral
