摘要: Pottery Mound is a large Ancestral Puebloan site situated within the Middle Rio Grande (MRG) region of New Mexico. This article adds to our understanding relationships between Mound, Western Pueblos, and Mexico through use biological distance analysis based on dental nonmetric traits. Extensive material cultural influences, as well migration events from Pueblos have been proposed by several scholars, while others highlighted parallels Mexico, especially Paquime. A total 1,528 individuals U.S. Southwest were used examine these areas. We find no evidence close similarity or northern Instead, results indicate affinity sites in MRG Mogollon suggests that although there for trade other southwestern United States Mesoamerica, may not accompanied significant gene flow those areas which goods originated. It possible neighboring regions, such Mogollon, served intermediaries distant regions.
