Use of mineral trioxide aggregate for repair of furcal perforations

摘要: The histologic response to intentional perforation in the furcations of 28 mandibular premolars seven dogs was investigated. In half teeth, perforations were repaired immediately with either amalgam or mineral trioxide aggregate; rest left open salivary contamination before repair. All for 4 months examination vertical sections through site. group, all specimens associated inflammation, whereas only one six aggregate was; further, five noninflamed had some cementum over repair material. delayed inflammation; contrast four filled inflamed. On basis these results, it appears that is a far more suitable material than repair, particularly when used after perforation.
