摘要: Cheilitis glandularis (CG) is an uncommon disease that usually affects the lower lip of adults. It characterized by enlargement and eversion in association with excretory duct dilatation. The presence minor salivary gland hyperplasia controversial. Three types CG have been described literature; classification based on common clinical histopathologic findings (ie, simple, superficial, deep). This report unusual case simplex for which initial diagnosis was papillary cystadenoma, a neoplastic process. lesion completely excised, final microscopic review larger specimen revealed chronic sclerosing sialadenitis, dilated secretory ducts oncocytic change periductal inflammation, foci adenomatous consisting enlarged exhibiting squamous epithelial metaplasia architecture. latter proliferative pattern finding what otherwise clinically diagnosed as CG.
