摘要: Abstract Quantifying landfill gas to energy (LFGTE) potential as a source of renewable is difficult due the challenges involved in modeling (LFG) generation. In this paper methodology presented estimate LFGTE on regional scale over 25-year timeframe with consideration uncertainties. The was demonstrated for US state Florida, case study, and showed that Florida could increase annual production by more than threefold 2035 through installation facilities at all landfills. estimated electricity from LFG equivalent removing some 70 million vehicles highways or replacing 800 barrels oil consumption during 2010–2035 timeframe. Diverting food waste significantly reduce fugitive emissions, while having minimal effect potential; whereas, achieving high diversion goals increased recycling will result reduced uncollected significant loss which may be offset savings material recovery reuse. Estimates power density reach 10 W m −2 optimized operation practices. environmental benefits lifetime collection efficiencies magnify value projects.
