摘要: Abstract Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) can be dispersed effectively in aqueous solution by ionic liquid-based phosphonium surfactants, alkyl-triphenyl bromide (CnTPB, n = 12 and 14). The morphology of the MWCNTs was observed TEM experiments. UV–vis–NIR spectra were performed to determine dispersion optimum concentration CnTPB. Compared with tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, C14TPB is more effective disperse MWCNTs, reflecting that multi-benzene moieties on head group propitious MWCNTs. It also found CnTPB a longer hydrocarbon chain exhibits stronger ability. adsorption molecules investigated zeta-potential, surface tension measurements fluorescence spectroscopy. zeta-potential results show have relatively high positive charges. electrostatic repulsion force between makes MWCNT stable. significant quenching demonstrates there π-π stacking interaction π-networks Furthermore, possible mechanism proposed.
