摘要: Lipocalin 2 (LCN2; also known as NGAL) is a secreted glycoprotein and its elevated expression has been observed in breast cancers. However, the importance of LCN2 tumorigenesis unclear. Here, we employed spontaneous mammary tumor mouse model showing that MMTV-ErbB2(V664E) mice lacking had significantly delayed formation metastasis with reduced matrix metalloproteinase-9 activity blood. upregulated by HER2/phosphoinositide 3-kinase/AKT/NF-kappaB pathway. Decreasing invasion migration ability HER2(+) cancer cells. Furthermore, injecting an anti-mouse antibody into bearing established murine tumors resulted significant blockage lung metastasis. Our findings indicate critical factor enhancing progression possibly part stabilizing metalloproteinase-9. results suggest inhibition function inhibitory monoclonal potential for therapy, particularly interfering aggressive types cancer.
