摘要: A method and apparatus for adaptive, variable bandwidth, high-speed data transmission of a multicarrier signal over digital subscriber lines wherein the initial optimal bandwidth is identified based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) estimates orthogonal carriers system. Maximum throughput, or system performance margin, achieved by assigning total amount information, number bits, to be transmitted in each symbol particular through an bit allocation procedure, which possibly subject target error rates among carriers. transmit power mask, any shape level, imposed upon energy procedure that limits maximum several Lastly, run-time adaptivity monitoring mean-squared-errors (MSE) carriers, as well within symbol, caused change real-time corresponding changes channel characteristics order maintain performance.
