摘要: Background: Poor motor skill competence may influence energy balance with childhood overweight as a result. Our aim was to investigate whether the age of milestone achievement has changed over past decades and this change contribute increasing trend observed in overweight. Methods: Motor assessed children from Young Netherlands Twin Register born between 1987 2007. Follow-up ranged 4 up 10 years. Weight height were at birth, 6 months, 14 2, 4, 7, Results: Babies later cohorts achieved their milestones ‘crawling’, ‘standing’, ‘walking unassisted’ compared babies earlier (N = 18,514, p < 0.001). The prevalence higher (p 0.033). increase not explained by achieving persisted after adjusting for gestational age, sex, socioeconomic status. Conclusion: Comparing those 2007, we conclude that nowadays achieve age. This does however, explain
