Cavernous hemangioma in the ileum diagnosed at double balloon enteroscopy: A case report

摘要: Hemangiomas of the small intestine are uncommon benign tumors, which 90% present with symptoms such as acute or chronic recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding, while 10% cases asymptomatic. The preoperative diagnosis is challenging. We report a case ileal hemangioma detected incidentally on abdominopelvic computed tomography (CT). In this case, we performed double balloon enteroscopy to confirm before surgical resection, helped therapeutic plan.
