Using Hy + for network management and distributed debugging

摘要: A network manager managing a computer or programmer attempting to understand and debug distributed program both must deal with large volumes of data. Visualization is widely believed help in these similar tasks. We contend that visualization indeed useful, but only if accompanied the following facilities: abstraction, filtering, layout control. The Hy+ system GraphLog query language provide facilities. They support not just fixed way visualizing data, visualizations can be specified manipulated through declarative queries, like data are database. In this paper we show how Hy+/GraphLog used by managers debuggers meet their information manipulation goals.With aid system, specify management functions as statements (GraphLog queries), for example, define alerts. also filter control aspect resulting visualizations.In same way, debugging parallel applications specifying normal abnormal patterns looking queries manipulating behavior program.
