摘要: Twenty-one species of Distichopora have been described after specimens from various localities in the Indo-Pacific region, viz., D. violacea (Pallas, 1766) “Mare Indicum”, cinnabarina Nardo, 1844, Red Sea (?), gracilis Dana, 1848, Tuamotu Islands, coccinea Gray, 1860, New Caledonia, fulvacea Michelin, 1862, Reunion, nitida Verrill, 1864, Marshall rosea Kent, 1871, East coast Australia, purpurea Schmeltz, 1875 (nomen nudum), Islands irregularis Moseley, 1879, Philippine livida Tenison-Woods, Solomon brasseyi Wright, 1882, Gilbert allnutti breviserialis Quelch, 1884, unknown locality, milesii Pacific (probably region Society and Islands), granulosa 1885, Rarotonga conferta Rarotonga, ochracea profunda Hickson & England, 1909, Chagos Archipelago, borealis Fisher, 1938, Aleutian fisheri Broch, 1942, Fiji serpens Islands. Most came shallow water, only three were collected great depths, (187—274 m), (518—881 (91—183 m). The type specimen a depth 10 fathoms (18 m). To enumerated above should be added providentiae (Hickson 1909) off Providence Island Western Indian Ocean, at 125 (228 This was originally placed genus Sporadopora, but manner arrangement gastropores dactylopores indicate that it presents least some affinity to Distichopora, accordingly may provisionally find place here.
