摘要: Classical endocrine studies have shown that steroid hormones are required for the maintenance of pregnancy and placental viability. The oestrogen-receptor-related receptor β (ERR-β) is an orphan member superfamily nuclear hormone receptors1. Although ERR-β homologous to oestrogen binds response element2, it not activated by oestrogens1. Expression during embryogenesis defines a subset extra-embryonic ectoderm subsequently forms dome chorion, suggesting may be involved in early development. Homozygous mutant embryos generated targeted disruption Estrrb gene severely impaired formation, die at 10.5 days post-coitum. mutants display abnormal chorion development associated with overabundance trophoblast giant cells severe deficiency diploid trophoblast. phenotype can rescued aggregation tetraploid wild-type cells, which contribute exclusively tissues. Our results indicate has important role placentation, suggest inductive signal originating from or modified normal proliferation differentiation.
