摘要: Background & Aims A radiofrequency ablation technique known as Stretta was recommended by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons an alternative treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). However, randomized controlled trials efficacy have produced conflicting findings, those from previous systematic reviews were compromised a result deficiencies in study conduct reporting findings. We performed review to evaluate all evidence on management GERD. Methods searched MEDLINE Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials (The Library) inception until February 28, 2014, along with other databases, patients Primary outcomes physiologic parameters GERD, including normalization esophageal pH values augmentation lower sphincter pressure (LESP). Secondary health-related quality life (HRQOL) ability stop use proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). For assurance purposes, 2 investigators involved throughout study. Data pooled under random-effects model. The per standards collaboration. Results collected data 4 total 165 (153 analyzed). Three compared vs sham, 1 trial PPI therapy. overall very low. results showed no difference between sham or GERD mean (%) time less than over 24-hour course, LESP, PPIs, HRQOL. Conclusions In meta-analysis trials, we found that does not produce significant changes, therapy, parameters, spent at 4,
