摘要: In addressing failed surgery for compressive neuropathies about the arm, it is important to distinguish between what would truly be called recurrence vs. those who have a failure improve in their symptoms. Evaluation of these patients does require some time both obtaining thorough history as well performing detailed clinical exam. Electromyographic and neural conduction velocity testing helpful. cases, surgeon needs think proximal distal; that is, could symptoms coming from neck or there areas further compression proximally distally peripheral nerve? Reoperating on previously operated nerve tissue can quite stressful frequently less forgiving than other soft structures commonly encountered scar bed. The use microscope sometimes helpful visualizing planes and/or tissue. If mechanical reasons are found explain patient’s continued symptoms, then points surgically addressed if patient willing accept potential risks injury scarring, which precludes improving much doctor were hoping.
