摘要: During pregnancy, the mouse pubic symphysis undergoes expansion and remodeling resulting in formation of a flexible elastic interpubic ligament allowing passage term fetus. In current study, we sought to identify characterize components extracellular matrix that likely play an important role elongation flexibility during parturition. Mouse symphyses ligaments collected at time points pregnancy postpartum were utilized evaluate collagen type, content, processing solubility, matricellular protein, proteoglycan expression quantitative assessment all glycosaminoglycans. These studies revealed increased gene for hyaluronan synthase 1, 2, versican on Gestation Day 18 as well decline protein versican-degrading protease disintegrin-like metalloprotease with thrombospondin type 1 (ADAMTS1) motif. findings suggest primary mediators result from synthesis reduced metabolism viscoelasticity-promoting molecules such high molecular weight versican.
