摘要: Large hemangiomas in infants and children are rare but can be life-threatening if they involve vital structures or produce thrombocytopenia congestive heart failure. During a 6-year period, 22 children, aged newborn to 7 years, were treated for complex, symptomatic hemangiomas. The lesions located the liver seven, face parotid gland five, neck four, extremity two, mediastinum, chest wall-spinal cord, trachea, retroperitoneum one patient each. diagnosis was suggested by physical examination all patients confirmed radiologic most patients. treatment individualized, usually progressed from less more invasive, included observation, prednisone therapy, arterial ligation, resection. All eventually cured, with minimal morbidity. Children successfully managed use of variety techniques.
