摘要: Plants retain the ability to produce organs throughout their life by maintaining active stem cell niches called meristems. The shoot apical meristem (SAM) is responsible for growth of aerial plant structures. In Arabidopsis thaliana, SAM initially produces leaves during vegetative phase and later flowers reproductive development. early stages floral initiation, a group cells first emerges from form stereotypically organized meristematic structure on its flank. However, molecular mechanisms underlying acquisition this specific organization remain elusive. We show here that transcription factors LEAFY (LFY) REVOLUTA (REV) control two partially redundant pathways controlling in flower primordia. found LFY acts through factor REGULATOR OF AXILLARY MERISTEM1 (RAX1) we provide mechanistic insights how RAX1 allows identity establishment young flowers. Our work provides link between processes formation nascent flower.
