摘要: The history of this new type enzymatic depletion the amino acid asparagine, which has been shown to be indispensable for growth most particularly early cellular stages lymphatic system and, a lesser degree, some other tissues, passed through several distinct investigational phases. first stage was, characteristically, purely biological, starting with Clementi’s [17] preliminary report in 1922 richness asparaginase guinea pig serum, comprising Kidd’s [30] pioneering observations 1953 on suppression certain transplanted lymphomas mice and rats by serum finally including Broome’s [13] experimental demonstration that enzyme L-asparaginase (L-ase) was growth-inhibitory fraction finding later confirmed Mashburn Wriston [34] L-ase derived from Escherichia coli had same effect as serum. This important discovery, together additional E. exists two forms, known EC-1 EC-2 [16], only second active against 6C3HED lymphoma [39, 40], opened up possibility large-scale production clinical trials.
