VAT was assessed by magnetic resonance imaging a random subgroup. We performed linear regression analyses examine measures body fat, adjusted confounding, including total fat models VAT. Results A 5,094 (52% women; mean age 56 [SD 6] years), 1,947 whom had measurements, were analyzed. The difference between 5) good ≤ 7.2cm2 (95% CI: 1.2-13.8) women 16.1cm2 6.2-26.0) men. These differences attenuated toward null after adjustment fat. Similar patterns observed (lowest 10% compared median 60%). Conclusions Our results suggest that are not specifically associated higher amount
