摘要: The recent decline in populations of European salamanders caused by the chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bsal) has generated worldwide concern, as it is a major threat to amphibians. Evaluation areas most suitable for establishment Bsal combined with analysis distribution salamander species could be used generate and implement biosecurity measures protect biodiversity at sites high diversity. In this study, we identified Mexico. Mexico second-highest diversity world; thus, moderately highly potential hotspots surveillance. Central Southern were high-risk zones, 13 where 30% Mexican occur, including range-restricted endangered species. We propose that these should thoroughly monitored presence prevent spread pathogen if introduced country.
