摘要: Lactate dehydrogenase (LHD) is a key enzyme of anaerobic metabolism in almost all living organisms and it also functional checkpoint for glucose restoration during gluconeogenesis single-stranded DNA metabolism. This has well preserved structure evolution among the species, with little, but sometimes very useful, changes amino acid sequence, which makes an attractive target design construction molecules able to modulate its catalytic potential expression. Research focused mainly on selection modulator especially as far LDH isozymes (especially LDH-5) lactate dehydrogenases Plasmodium falciparum (pfLDH) are concerned. review summarizes recent advances development inhibitors, pointing out their specificity therapeutic potentials.
