摘要: Context: Surgery is a cornerstone in the treatment of acromegaly, but its efficacy large, invasive tumors scant. Objective: The objective this study was to investigate whether partial surgical removal GH-secreting pituitary enhances response rate somatostatin analogs (SSA; sc octreotide, slow-release and lanreotide). Design: This multicenter, open, retrospective study. Setting: performed at university hospitals. Subjects Methods: Eighty-six patients (42 women 44 men; age, 42 ± 14 yr) with acromegaly were studied.
