Operations on polytopes: application to tolerance analysis

摘要: This article presents numerical methods in order to solve problems of tolerance analysis. A geometric specification, a contact specification and functional requirement can be respectively characterized by fmite set constraints, finite constraints constraints. Mathematically each constraint formalises n-face (hyperplan dimension n) n-polytope (1 ≤ n 6). Thus the relative position between two any surfaces mechanism calculated with operations on polytopes: Minkowski sum Intersection. The result is new polytope: polytope. inclusion polytope inside indicates if satisfied or not satisfied. Examples illustrate these methods.
