摘要: This study presents the clinical results of a surgical technique that expands narrow ridge when its orofacial width precludes placement dental implants. In 170 people, 329 implants were placed in sites needing enlargement using endentulous expansion procedure. involves partial-thickness flap, crestal and vertical intraosseous incisions into ridge, buccal displacement cortical plate, including portion underiying spongiosa. Implants expanded allowed to heal for 4 5 months. When indicated, exposed during second-stage surgery allow visualization implant site. Occlusal loading was applied following 3 months by provisional prostheses. The final phase permanent yielded success rate 98.8%.
