摘要: The Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory followed up 18 gravitational wave (GW) triggers from the LIGO/Virgo collaboration during O3 observing run in 2019/2020, performing approximately 6500 pointings total. Of these events, four were finally classified (if real) as binary black hole (BH) triggers, six neutron star (NS) two each of NSBH and Mass Gap one an unmodelled (Burst) trigger, remaining three subsequently retracted. Thus far, have been formally confirmed real events. While no likely electromagnetic counterparts to any GW events identified X-ray data (to average upper limit 3.60 x 10^{-12} erg cm^{-2} s^{-1} over 0.3-10 keV), or at other wavelengths, we present a summary all Swift-XRT observations performed O3, together with typical limits for trigger observed. majority sources detected previously uncatalogued; while some will be new (transient) sources, others are simply too faint by earlier survey missions such ROSAT. all-sky currently being eROSITA very useful comparison future runs, reducing number apparent candidate 95 per cent.
