摘要: What to do about livestock odor and manure nutrients is one of the most contentious policy issues facing agriculture today. The impact policies designed address these depends, in part, on on-farm cost alternative handling facilities. This investigation considers delivering from Iowa swine production for two forms storage, target nutrients, crop rotations, levels field incorporation. Many studies have found that applications based phosphate, rather than nitrogen, increases delivery costs. While we agree costs may initially increase, this shows deliveries phosphate can better match nutrient need, hence lead higher profits operations.
