摘要: PURPOSE: To review and evaluate the anatomical definitions of perinatal extravaginal torsion (EVT) testis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An extensive literature was made to reveal prevalent background predisposing EVT. Gross appearance twisted testes obtained during surgery for 14 cases EVT used test validity above theories. RESULTS: The most commonly accepted suggestions describe an within dartos muscle that includes all layers spermatic cord or outside parietal layer tunica vaginalis internal fascia. However, both them were found inadequately documented, while a large volume controversial data has been accumulated, raises doubts regarding such definitions. gross failed confirm including also as possible mechanisms torsion. CONCLUSION: basis remains unclear further investigation is required.
