Adsorption of Brilliant Green from Aqueous Solutions onto Crosslinked Chitosan Graft Copolymers

摘要: In this study, graft copolymerization of itaconic acid (IA) and crotonic (CA) onto the crosslinked chitosan beads were carried out using ammonium persulfate as initiator. Grafted characterized by FT-IR analysis grafting percentage determination. Grafting efficiency add-on percentages values grafted determined 23–29 32–47%, respectively. Then, equilibrium isotherms kinetics brilliant green adsorption investigated. The results indicated that pseudo-second-order kinetic model fitted better than data obtained from pseudo-first-order for beads. fit (BG) suggested Langmuir gave closer fittings Freundlich model.
