摘要: Fifty-one patients who underwent mandibular advancements with or without genioplasties were rigidly fixated three, 2-mm bicortical screws per side. Radiographs digitized preoperatively, immediately postoperatively, at 6 weeks, months, and a subsequent long-term follow-up period. Location of the cephalometric landmarks, referenced to vertical reference line (in millimeters), was used as dependent variable. An overall inspection data shows that very stable. The average case showed further advancement pogonion from weeks However, relapse noted in several cases. Factors could be predictors examined. Results indicated magnitude only factor successfully predicted relapse, accounting for 37.9% variance sample. Anatomic changes found accompany such are follows: (1) when comes forward, anterior facial height plane decrease while proximal segment rotates (2) maxillary central incisors flare upright during this time A small degree assessed occurred first followed by an longest interval after surgical procedure. these directional movements not statistically significant.
