摘要: Abstract Given the close relationship between surface melt in polar areas and ice temperature (IST), it is important to develop an effective IST retrieval method. However, studies concerning this topic are relatively limited. In context, paper proposes approach retrieve Antarctic area by presenting a modified split-window algorithm (SWA) introducing polynomial fitting for atmospheric transmittance simulation. The effectiveness was quantitatively validated comparative study with Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) product (MOD29) automatic weather station (AWS) data. comparisons indicated that proposed method shows robust performance MODIS data: bias − 0.61 K root-mean-square error (RMSE) 1.32 K Zhongshan Station data set; − 1.62 K RMSE 2.34 K Ross Ice Shelf set.
