摘要: Introduction and Aims To review the results of five research projects commissioned to enhance alcohol treatment among Aboriginal Australians, highlight arising from them. Design Methods Drafts papers were workshopped by project representatives, final reviewed summarised. Lessons identified described. Results While impact varied, they feasibility adapting mainstream interventions in Australian contexts. Outcomes include greater potential to: screen for those at risk; increase community awareness; build capacity partnerships between organisations; co-ordinate comprehensive referral networks service provision. Discussion Results show a small investment can produce sustainable change positive outcomes. However, optimise maintain investment, cultural difference needs be recognised both planning delivery interventions; resources funding must responsive realistic about capacities need formed voluntarily based on respect, equality trust; practices procedures within organisations formalised. Conclusions There is no simple way reduce alcohol-related harm communities. that with control, modest respectful collaboration, enhancements improved outcomes achieved.
