摘要: The resistance characteristics of the apple genes (Er1, Er2, and Er3) to woolly aphid, Eriosoma lanigerum (Hausmann) (Homoptera: Aphididae) were studied according performance measured on cultivars containing these genes. Northern Spy (Er1), Robusta 5 (Er2), Aotea (Er3) compared susceptible cultivar Royal Gala, by measuring aphid settlement, development, survival rates correlated with electronically monitored probing behaviour. Er1 Er2 had a higher level significantly shorter period phloem feeding, suggesting that factors present in tissue. Phenological measurements indicated aphids showed poor Er2. also low settlement survival, although not as Aphid feeding similar some New Zealand may have recently overcome Er3 resistance. differences mechanisms Er1, are discussed relation strategy pyramiding give durable aphid.
