Electronic states in GaAs-(Al,Ga)As eccentric quantum rings under nonresonant intense laser and magnetic fields

摘要: The features of the electron energy spectrum in eccentric two-dimensional GaAs-AlGaAs quantum rings circular shape are theoretically investigated taking into account effect externally applied magnetic and intense laser fields. Analytical expressions for laser-dressed confining potential this kind ring geometry reported first time. Finite element method is used to solve resulting single-particle effective mass partial differential equation. It shown that allowed level greatly influence by external probe as well breaking geometric symmetry related changes eccentricity. In presence an field, conduction band profile suffers strong modifications along structure, with additional contribution breaking. These electronic states reflect intraband optical absorption. Accordingly, transitions discussed detail, revealing significant field strength intensity polarization, together eccentricity, allowing ground-to-excited their corresponding intensities.
