摘要: Optimization techniques are, in general, still not used today the design and performance analysis of thermal systems their components. The engineer's search for best system configuration is based solely on rules-of-thumb a systematic, analytical determination what optimal or should be. In addition, economic factors are directly tied to thermodynamic ones; therefore, ramifications changes usually, if ever, immediately apparent. A general approach that determines optimum behavior discussed illustrated using Rankine cycles. Utilizing Second Law typical costing techniques, this method provides creation mathematical models balance cycle's operating costs capital expenditures. Such can be solved numerically, subject various constraints, systems.
