摘要: The objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency a synthesized activated carbon for removal methylene blue from aqueous solution. Activated carbons agricultural wastes precursors are an interesting alternative their use as adsorbents and catalyst supports in wastewater treatment field, represent important ecological benefit. In work, mainly, mesoporous-activated peach stones by chemical activation. textural, morphological, characterizations material were carried out, revealing acidic nature solid. effects different experimental conditions on adsorption capacity, initial concentration, pH solution, adsorbent dosage, temperature have been investigated. kinetic data followed pseudo-second-order model. Intra-particle diffusion model indicated that process is controlled intra-particle stage. Adsorption isotherms conducted at several operation temperatures, obtaining largest capacity value, 444.3 mg g−1, highest temperature, 333 K. equilibrium tested four isotherm models, i.e., Langmuir, Freundlich, Toth, Redlich–Peterson. It found fitted better Toth Redlich–Peterson models. calculated thermodynamic parameters suggested endothermic spontaneous occurring.
