摘要: The nucleation and growth of crystals in a colloidal suspension can be described few words: are formed, grow, the particles move (or not). previous chapters have nevertheless illustrated how this simplicity is only apparent. This chapter focuses on materials science applications freezing systems: ice-templating freeze-casting. Many parameters concomitant mechanisms must taken into account to describe understand phenomenon. Such complexity also provides rich toolbox for control process resulting structures. we use fall three categories: (i) preparation suspensions, their characteristics, properties; (ii) conditions; (iii) sublimation conditions. describes each these categories parameters. If mastering familiar people ceramic processing, will take them out comfort zone, stepping physics, biology, geophysics, name domains involved.
