摘要: Tim-3 is a member of the T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain (Tim) family proteins, which are expressed by several types in immune system, including CD4 CD8 cells activated under certain conditions. These molecules generally thought to act as receptors for multiple ligands thus function engaging intracellular signaling pathways ligand-dependent manner. In recent years, protein has been studied some detail, particularly with respect its role regulation responses. Here, we review structural features Tim-3, known this molecule links established between signal transduction pathways. addition, current literature regarding effector responses cells. Overall, findings published far strongly support conclusion that functions inhibit responses, conditions involving chronic stimulation. Conversely, reports have provided evidence can stimulate acute stimulation, suggesting may vary depending on context. Further study likely advance our understanding how regulated could uncover novel approaches manipulating therapeutic benefit.
