摘要: Abstract Particle size analysis of commercial spherical silica packings graduated pore by means photosedimentation (PS) is critically examined and compared to results obtained microscopy. To avoid particle fractionation, the suspension prepared for PS measurements should be subjected gentle ultrasonic treatment. For computing distribution, effective density solvent-filled porous particles has inserted into Stokes equation. Reproducibility d p , estimated found largely dependent upon accuracy specific volume determination. Satisfactory agreement data between microscopy all products studied except that containing large macropores.
