摘要: Billions of people around the world drink alcoholic beverages one type or another. For most, drinking does not constitute a problem. What are criteria for alcoholism or, as some professionals prefer, “problem drinking?” Robert Straus argues that problem is broader term and includes alcoholism. He defines drinkers persons who repeatedly use alcohol in amounts greater than “customary dietary prevailing socially acceptable customs”; lead to health problems, interfere with everyday relationships others, hamper fulfilling family, economic, community expectations.1 The core this definition has do excessive terms customs injuries disruption role relationships.
