摘要: This paper reviews the characteristics of animal seed dispersal relevant to tropical forest restoration efforts and discusses their management implications. In many regions by animals is predominant form dissemination propagules has potential facilitate recolonization native vegetation on degraded sites. The site traits for attracting dispersers include availability perches, structural complexity presence food resources, especially fruit, as an attractant. Tree plantations with these will be particularly attractive and, therefore, have higher rates rain than lacking traits. efficacy sites can limited degree isolation from a source, absence in region large size. highly regions, where sources may isolated rare, require direct seeding or planting. However, even under best conditions full compliment nearby large-seeded species, because relative immobility, should planted if return primary desired.
