摘要: Drug treatment courts (DTCs) provide substance abuse and case management services to offenders with use disorders as an alternative incarceration. Studies indicate that African Americans less frequently complete DTC programming. The current study analyzed data from the Dane County Treatment Court (n = 573). ascertained factors associated failure among American participants. Significant were unemployment (p = 0.011), previous criminal history (p = 0.013), and, possibly, presence of a cocaine disorder (p = 0.064). plans for participants should incorporate addressing needs specific Americans, who are over-represented in U.S. correctional system. results employment, prior corrections involvement, may be issues consider.
