摘要: Probiotics are widely used to prevent and treat several diseases. Many commercial products available worldwide. However, there is no clear international or local legislation about them previous studies showed that most of the tested not in conformity with guidelines. The aim this study was determine if USA market 2009 were correctly labeled terms quantity viable bacteria, identification species cross contamination by on label. Disturbingly, we found only 4 13 (31%) accordance label claims. Our results suggest need for adequate control probiotic production as well periodical screenings competent organizations monitor effect storage product quality.
