Basic Radiological Changes in Diseased Skeletal Muscle

摘要: In this chapter, four basic radiological changes which can be observed by CT scanning in diseased skeletal muscle will described. They are (1) muscular atrophy, (2) hypertrophy, (3) hypotrophy and (4) fibrosis. It shown that these morphological either alone or combination with each other at various stages of different disease processes without being specific for any them. For example, atrophy seen hypertrophy synergistic muscles. produce pseudohypertrophy lead to hypotrophy. Fibrosis as a separate entity but also occur together atrophy.
